Changes as of January 1, 2018
With a new year comes new beginnings and I have some exciting (albeit a little sad) news to share.
I’ve been lucky enough to work with some amazing clients and dogs for the six years since I opened Diligent Dogs. Throughout that time I’ve grown so much as a dog trainer, but also as a person. I’ve learned a lot about dogs, made some mistakes, had lots of fun, and also was lucky enough to have a lot of success.
I love all my clients in Virginia and Vermont, but as of January 1st, I’ve decided to close my doors and accept a dog trainer position at Vermont Dog BnB (check out their website, Vermont Dog Trainer). Ian, the owner, runs an amazing facility, and I’m lucky to be working alongside some talented dog people. I’m so looking forward to working side by side with some of the best trainers in Vermont and share ideas with a team of like-minded individuals.
Moving to Vermont has been a dream come true for me and I’m excited for all that the future holds up here.
Please know that if you’re a past client, I will always be available for email support (email@example.com) or can provide a referral if you still need help.
I’m so glad I’ve gotten to know you all and had the support of some amazing people (Allison Bowden Kramer, Old Dominion Animal Hospital, Patricia Boden, The Dogg House and many more). Thanks for an amazing 6 years!
Obedience & Behavior Training
Using balanced and humane training techniques, we strive to help you form a close, positive relationship with your dog. Training is the key to communication . Our dog training services can help your dog become confident, polite, sociable, and obedient, no matter what age they may be.
Customized & Flexible Programs
We adjust our training techniques based on your lifestyle and what you hope to accomplish. Each dog is different, and therefore training varies with every case. However, across all dog-human relationships, there are 3 key elements that every dog responds to: Praise, Consistency and Fairness.
In training, experience is everything. Your Vermont dog trainer is a Certified Professional Trainer through the National K9 School for Dog Trainers, who has been working with dogs since 2006. We include socialization and distraction work for more advanced training.
